Hobie 18

The Pacific is a catamaran with a lot of power but that is also forgiving. It is equipped with a double trapeze and furling jib. The boat is suitable for 2 people. Thanks to the keel, it is ideal for the beach and shallow waters. The Pacific sits calmly in the water, is easy to control and is therefore great for learning to sail a gennaker.

SKILLS TO RENT
 
The boat skipper is expected to safely perform the following maneuvers on an Hobie 18 or similar in winds up to 4 Bft / 20 Kn:
  • Tack
  • Gybe
  • Beat upwind
  • Head into the wind
  • Trapezing
  • Drifting downwind
  • Right up after capsizing
In winds of more than 20 knots or other difficult weather conditions, we expect appropiate knowledge and experience for these conditions.
