The course is for advanced sailors aged around 9 to 11 who want to further expand their knowledge and learn new things.

The participants are expected to be able to safely perform the following maneuvers on a small cat in wind speeds of up to 4 Bft: tacking, gybing, tacking (upwind and downwind), head into the wind reeling and righting after capsize. ages 9 to 11 inclusive |

On Monday at 10 a.m. all children will be introduced to the dock, area and boat and then they will sail in and out. At 1:30 p.m. we take a well-deserved lunch break. The advanced course then meets again on Monday at 2:30 p.m. and from Tuesday the course starts daily at 2:30 p.m. Depending on the group experience and wind conditions, practical training sessions, theory, dry runs and longer strokes alternate until 6 p.m. The highlight and conclusion of the regatta for the “Pollensa Racing Cup” will take place on Friday afternoon. The full-day sailors take part in the exercises of the introductory course in the morning. IMPORTANT: The cat building course preferably takes place in the afternoon due to the stronger wind conditions. However, due to weather conditions or the number of participants, changes to the course schedule are possible or necessary. |

Neoprene shoes must be worn due to the risk of injury. We recommend a long wetsuit from September to June plus surf fleece (long-sleeved shirt with thermal protection) on cold days. In July, August and warm September and June days, a short wetsuit and/or UV shirt. Plus a glasses strap and sunscreen with a high SPF. Sales and rental of sailing and surfing equipment in our shop . Life jackets, wetsuits and trapeze trousers are available in sufficient numbers and in a wide range of sizes and are included in the course prices. |
